Latin Name: Achillea millefolium
Common Names: Yarrow Flowers

Yarrow is traditionally used in herbal remedies to treat heavy bleeding from menstrual periods, bleeding ulcers, and more.

Yarrow can also be a do-it-all for flu and fever! This plant is a diaphoretic herb that has been used for relief of sore throats. Yarrow has drying, astringent properties, which can be a great bonus to those with sinus infections, wet coughs, and even sinus allergies. It helps to dry up and move excess mucous out of the respiratory system while reducing swelling in the tender membranes of the nose and throat.

Our organic Yarrow Flowers, which go by the Latin botanical name of Achillea millefolium, comes to us from our grower in Croatia and are also certified kosher. Yarrow Flowers are also known by the common names Milfoil, Noble Yarrow, Millefolium, Thousand Leaf and Nosebleed.

Warning: Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family (such as feverfew, chamomile, or echinacea species) should exercise caution with yarrow, as allergic cross-reactivity is common to Asteraceae plants.
